From time to time Warren Buffett does unusual trades. Best known for his long-term value trading – buy quality companies on the cheap and sell maybe never – every once in a while Warren does a trader’s trade. Like the time he bailed out Bank of America during the last financial crisis.
That netted Berkshire Hathaway a cool $12 billion, not bad for an idea he got in the shower one morning.
Now we find out Buffett went big in silver back in the 90’s, a move he apparently hasn’t replicated since.
